My baby

It appears no one is interested in my baby, my beloved first car. *tear drop*

Ever since I was an impressionable teenager, I've always wanted to own or drive a Volkswagen. Either the Jetta Wolfsburg (in blue) or the Golf (for some reason, the ones in red). I thought the Jettas held such sporty appeal and the Golf...just cute to drive.

I've always been pretty practical with my money, you know good stewardship and all. And also whatever i could comfortably afford within my meagre means.

So when I had a stable full time job again and also realized that I would be staying in Edmonton for a while, I "splurged" and got a Volkswagen. I didn't want to debt load myself with a full Golf, and also figured that I would not need AC as, heck, how often does Edmonton get hot.

yes, it has come back to bite me in my expanded butt.

The Journal lady talked me into starting my ad on the holiday weekend Saturday and I got one call that first day. The guy came to see my car, test drove it, said he loves Golfs as well, but could not bring himself to own red. Understandable.

But dang, now I've got no calls since then and all I can do is keep praying for a miracle. Supposed if God is leading me to Tucson, I trust that He would look after my needs, which means He will provide a buyer right?

I'll let you guys know. 12 days or so left to sell, but my ad runs out after Friday so I will have to run it again.

Any suggestions or super sales person out there?

Grace to you, Vien

Have you considered advertising in the Auto Trader? It's a cheap ad and I think lots of people read those. Or can you sell it back to the dealership (though that might be a rip-off)? Or can you upgrade and trade it in at the dealership for an A/C version of the Golf?

Otherwise, it'll be you and your A/C-less Golf cruising the freeway down to desert heat. YIKES.

May God be sovereign in your car's fate!

Yeah, I think I might try Auto Trader too.

And maybe not the Journal this time around?

I don't want to sell it back to the dealership, for sure I'll lose money.

And I don't want to freight my car, costs too much. Plus, I think I want a car with 'miles' on the spedometer.

I've put it on Auto Trader today, it will go online tomorrow but the catalogue doesn't run til next Thurs.

I'm also going to run it in the Journal again for another week.

Plus, you'll see me driving around with Auto Trader For Sale cards on my windows.

Desperate times are calling for desperate measures! *gulp*
