1/2month away

Hi everyone,

I'm back home now. My flight from Phoenix got in at around 11:30pm, but I always like to unpack everything as soon as I get home.

I've never been on a business trip, so I guess I didn't know I should have pre-booked a taxi to come get me. Since the Oilers won, the taxi lines were all busy. I had to bother my older sister to come get me, drive me all the way into Millwoods and then leave the 'Hood to go back to her better 'burb.

I also got my luggage searched, it's never ever happened to me before. I declared $100 in purchases which was already rounded up, but guess the very young looking Immigration guy decided to flag my declaration card for the search.

It's kinda embarrassing to have someone rummaging through your luggage hey?

It's nice being back and having a real shower and not be in a hotel and living out of a suitcase.

Oh yeah, when I air dryed a couple of items the other night in Tucson so I can pack clean clothes...it only took 30 mins to dry! And it was completely dry, not just almost.

One more blurb, one thing I love about the US West...toilet seat covers! I love it so much, I use 2 sheet layers everytime too. :)

Grace to you, Vien

Even better than regular toilet seat covers? Automatic ones! You know, the clear plastic kind that automatically gets replaced the moment you sit or stand. Ingenius! =)

And quick hang-drying is awesome, although doesn't that mean that the air is uber-dry, and that your skin would also be uber-dry? Hrm.

Glad to hear you're home safe now! I think business trips are fun (not that I've taken very many!) ;)

I've only come across those automatic replacing ones once....that was back in 1993 at the Chicago O'Hare airport.

So that was a long time ago that they started providing those.

Where else can I find these?

I don't remember where those autotoilets can be found, but I think I came across some of them here in the city. It was probably at a restaurant somewhere (or at the airport), b/c I can't think of any other place where I might have gone that would have them.

I think those should be the new standard in women's bathrooms!
