I went & picked up my Macbook last night, it's a sweet little paradox of style, power and frustration. Especially if you are used to being a Windows user. I'm still in the process of tyring to customize it to my preferences and setting it up so that i can carry it around and connect to the internet anywhere there is WiFi.
It wasn't a silver laptop like I thought, it's in a white plastic shell casing now. One minor disappointment is the monitor's contrast isn't very good, maybe because the monitor is small but i find icons and the view is not that sharp. Other than that, I love it!
Last week, I received 1/2 of my rent deposit back. It was what the ex-roommate proposed and as I left it up to God, I said yes as a token of peace gesture. Never mind that she blocked my email so I had to go through her Craig's List ad to contact her that very last time.
On the upside, she ended up being surprisingly cordial and definitely less aggressive and demeaning in her communication. So that is the end of that saga.
It's still very hot here during the days, like in the 30s Celsius. Soon, we will be on Mountain time here too as AZ does not change their clocks back.
It's looking good that I will be traversing up to the Grand Canyon next weekend. So far, 3-4 of us are in. That will be a quick & jam packed weekend trip as it is a 5hrs drive each way. Two friends are camera loving people so I'm sure I will have some pics to post.
If I don't get a chance, I want to wish you guys a Happy Canadian Thanksgiving. I will miss the turkey and fellowship. Mmm, & the stuffing too.
Grace to you, Vien

One application that might be to your advantage is Parallels.
I use it on my Mac for when I need Windows for whatever reason - *terribly* easy to install and runs full speed for anything I need.
Glad to hear your saga with your rent deposit is over!! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving if we don't hear from you before then!
