did something fairly spontaneous today....
Some co-workers heard that there was snow at Mt. Lemon and that the front paved road was closed so they wanted to go off road driving to get up to the top to see.
Work is very slow these days, so I left work 3hrs early to join them for some off road driving up the backside. It took over an hour to get up to the top. In between, I had to go pee out in the dark wilderness.
There was only a smattering of snow as we reached the pine tree line and higher.
Was it worth it? Well, I'm paying for it now, I'm at work to make up for the hours. It's eerily quiet here.
Well, I hope that this at least means the adventurer in me hasn't been completely smothered yet. :)
Grace to you, vien

Ooooh...that sounds like a lot of fun! Although for *snow,* it's not worth it. If you fly back up for Christmas you can see as much of the white stuff as you want (and in my case, I'd like to see as little of it as possible).
However, the off-roading part sounds awesome, and sometimes the adventure is worth 3 hours of make-up work (although, why didn't you split the time up into 1 extra hour for 3 days, or 30 extra minutes for 6 days?). I hate when it's super quiet and I'm somewhere other than home.
Well, the road was considered graded, so the off-roading was not as glamorous as I had hoped. :)
I wish I could split up the make-up time, but I have to make it up within the week for time cards sake.
AND, I'm also making up for leaving early on Mon already too.
I love working when it is silent. Much easier to focus and concentrate!
I wish that snow was so rare an occurence that it would be a special occasion when it fell...
