If I didn't have bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all....

Due to some clerical bureacratic hang ups and bad bad timing from my dealership, etc. I was embarassingly pulled over and given a ticket for expired vehicle registration back in early November.

My dealership said they would take care of it because they had my new registration at that time.

Anyways, last week, I got a letter in the mail saying my driver's license was suspended because of my unpaid fine from that ticket. Again, my dealership said I shouldn't have and everything should have been reversed when the system recognized that I got my new registration AND that this has not happened before in their years of dealing with the government.

So I've got a suspended license on my MVD record now, which cannot be negated after the fact.

But the worst thing of all was on Friday night when my roommate backed out from the garage and hit my car that was parked on my side of driveway. The left side of my 3 months old car is now noticably dented and scratched. Cost to fix it will be $1100US.

I have become numb to these troublesome things that keep happening to me, they just always seem to. :(

Grace to you, Vien

Your roommate better pay for that, Vien! It was entirely her fault and carelessness, and nothing to do with luck!

As for the dealership (and others who say they will "take care of things" for me), I would never EVER EVER trust someone else to do it because nobody has the same level of vested interest that I have in ME, and human error is rampant in the service industry. My policy is to always follow up constantly, and do it myself whenever possible.

Truly, I don't believe in bad luck, but I do believe in bad choices and bad timing and being too trusting, which are faults in my own life that have caused me much regret and all sorts of crappy consequences.

From now on, Vien, trust nobody!! The world is getting more incompetent by the second and you do NOT want to be paying for others' mistakes anymore!

I definitely would go back to the dealership and ask them what the heck was going on there, and demand that they rectify this in some way. Why are you paying for someone else's mistake?

Wow. I think that out of everyone I know, you seriously do have the very worst luck!

I'm so sorry to hear about the string of bad luck. As they say, bad luck comes in threes, so I think you're done now! A also think that you're due for some good luck. So, that said, good luck!
