Happy Canada Day weekend everyone. I'm proud to be Canadian. It was nice to catch some fireworks again, the last time I saw some was in Sydney in 2000. I love hearing the excitement and awe in kids voices as they watch each burst of color and lights. I remember when I was like that as a kid, actually, I still get excited, but I contain and tone it down some. :)
Another thing I love is when people are themselves. I'm talking about those times when people are uninhibited and free themselves to just enjoy life's moments whether this be in music or an expression of apprecation for things. In those instances, you can observe that they don't care who is watching or maybe laughing, haha, and that they are just enjoying themselves and having pure fun.
You know that poem which ends with...and dance like no one is watching. Well, last night, I also had the fun and pleasure of being in the prescence of 2 people at a Blues pub who truly danced like no one was watching, or rather didn't care if they were. How liberating is that, to dance and enjoy the blessing of music.
They were just being...themselves.
Grace to you, Vien

I agree that there is something beautiful about being able to march to the beat of one's own drum. I admire people like that, too. They also make me smile. =)
